Southern Highlands

Southern Highlands is David’s first solo exhibition in Sydney in 2004. It captures the beauty of this region. The autumnal, ochre colours, the winter blacks and blues, the springtime tulips with the promise of summer. Shot in transparency film - during the four seasons of 1997, these photos were taken at Kerever Park Burradoo, just outside Bowral. This was a peaceful place where adolescents and adults would come for a quiet retreat with a spiritual purpose. A place of contemplation and stillness - hosted by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart. A book titled ‘Harmony of the Heart” was produced and released in 1999.
